Welcome to Sun Painted Farm!
We invite you to be a part of our extended farm family, whether you’re digging in the dirt or dining with us.
Rooted in stewardship and community, Sun Painted Farm sits nestled along Little Sugar Creek on Price Coffee Road, a popular destination for mountain bike, gravel, and road cycling.
With intentional consideration toward a better future for food, we are dedicated to sustainability every step of the way—from the food we grow and the experiences we share, to our team’s quality of life. We look forward to sharing the Farm with you.
The Farm
The Farm thrives under the caring hands of our farm team. Sowing, growing, and enjoying food together is one of the most precious ways we can connect with the earth and each other.
Our farming practices are what we like to call “honest,” an approach that begins in the soil and a no-till philosophy. Ever since Sun Painted Farm broke ground in 2024, the vision has been to share the joy of sustainable, biodiverse produce and practices with our surrounding community. We are dedicated to cultivating specialty crops that adapt and transform daily, delivering exceptional flavors for Ryn’s (our onsite restaurant) Tasting Menu Experience. These ingredients enhance, rather than compete with, the offerings of our local farmers' markets. Our selections for Sun Painted Farm (our micro-farm) are thoughtfully experimental and seasonally focused, allowing us to differentiate our menu and elevate our culinary craft. Most of our crops fill gaps in the local food system, promoting sustainability while allowing Ryn to still support the produce of our local partners.
We will soon host workshops and educational opportunities so that others might connect with our collaborative ecosystem. As we steward the Farm, we hope to nourish the land and the local community alike.
The Restaurant
Our greenhouses, fields, orchards, and beehives are within a stone’s throw of Ryn—our on-site fine dining establishment. Overlooking scenic views of the river valley and tucked inside our restored, historic farmhouse, Ryn’s hyper-seasonal menu reflects the humble luxury of ingredients grown from our own soil, alongside curated flavors sourced from local producers, ranchers, and artisans.
Chef Matthew Cooper walks the fields with our growers, tasting and carefully selecting the finest flavors to complement Ryn’s ever-evolving, artisanal dinner menu. Ryn partners with winegrowers who similarly respect their land and provide exceptional depth to our dining experience.
The Farm Stand
Soon-to-be stocked with local meats, hand-crafted goods, and ultra-local produce, the Farm Stand will capture the essence of our region. Positioned on our 40+ acre farm plot, the Farm Stand will serve as an approachable way to connect with a thriving community of artisans who share our commitment to local heritage and traceability.
Our Farm Stand will soon be open to the public Fall of 2025 and sits just off the Farm’s entrance along Price Coffee Road. Bike trails meander through the adjacent woods, and cyclists are welcome to visit the Farm Stand for mid-ride refreshments.
